Hello All, I just joined Ballpark Chasers, and love what I see. What a great site. I think it is great to have this forum to share.

As a young boy,I attended my 1st MLB game at Veterans Stadium in 1984-85
After attending many games at the Vet, I decided to start my ballpark tour with a game at Oriole Park between the Orioles and Mariners on September 3, 1995. Since then, I have been to 19 ballparks (11 Current, 8 Retired), and am planning to visit Ballpark # 20 (Great American Ballpark) in September. I look forward to meeting with other baseball fans who have the same goal as I do...to visit all the MLB Ballparks!

Thanks for the message. This is a great site, and I'm glad to have found this. Thanks

You should enjoy your trip to Great Amercan Ballpark... Very nice park and the city of Cincinnati has been improving the area around the park recently with new bars and restaurants in their "Banks" area between GAP and Paul Brown Stadium (Bengals). In addition, Rock Bottom Brewery isn't far and nice to visit. Also, don't forget about Newport, KY. It is directly across the river and offers $3 parking near the pedestrian bridge and plenty of bars and restaurants of their own (specifically a floating Hooters and the Hoffbrahaus German Beer Hall)

Thanks for all the suggestions. I appreciate it. We will actually be staying a few days across the river in KY.

I was in Cincinnati back in 1999 when the Reds were still at Cinergy Field, but didn;t get to sightsee much. Basically just drove 12 hours, overnight in hotel, and game next afternoon, and then headed back home to NJ. Very excited to visit Great American Ballpark as my 20th ballpark. It look beautiful on t.v., and I'm sure is much more in person.

Thanks again

Welcome aboard David!  I hope you find this site as enjoyable as I do- look forward to hearing about your experiences at other parks!

Thanks for the message. I see you have been to all the MLB ballparks. That is great. I hope to some day. 19 so far, new and retired, and #20 in September. Hopefully will make it out to your area in Chicago next year for the Sox and Cubs.

Thanks
