Chasers,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete our Ballpark Chasers Meetup Survey. We were thrilled with the number of participants, as well as those who provided valuable feedback. Here is a summary of what our community wants for the first annual Ballpark Chasers Meetup.

Almost 90% of voters are interested in attending an official Ballpark Chasers Meetup! 67% of respondents will not let the ballpark determine their likelihood of attending. Best months for the event are July and August. Much to our surprise, more people chose purchasing their own seats rather than purchasing tickets in a specific section. Decisively, you wish to book your own lodging. Gathering for a pre/post game meal is the number one additional activity. Also, visiting a local tourist attraction gained high marks.

As for the ballpark you choose for the first annual Ballpark Chasers Meetup? Coors Field! Oriole Park and Wrigley Field came in second and third place, respectively. We are very excited about the potential that Coors Field and Denver, Colorado hold. It’s (almost) centrally located within the United States which makes it a close and potential direct flight. Arguably, Colorado is the Mecca of microbreweries, many within walking distance to Coors Field. There is also a ballpark museum close to Coors Field. Those of you who want to see another ballpark will have a 90-minute drive to see the Rockies Triple-A affiliate, Colorado Springs Sky Sox.

We realize that we are late to announce this event and many of you already have your own ballpark vacation scheduled for this summer. Keep in mind we plan to make this an annual event, each year growing in size and participation.
Thank you to all who were excited and willing to come to Seattle for a game at Safeco Field. Chances are we will host the 2015 Meetup here. Start saving your airline miles! Look for an official confirmation at the end of the season.

p.s. Do you want to host your own informal Meetup? Chasers gather at ballparks throughout the season. If you want others to know where you will be, create your own meet-up here. An informal Meetup at Wrigley Field is already being organized on our website. For more details, click here.
