Just took my trip to TB to see the Angels. This advice is coming from two female 35 year olds...

Transportation:
We used Uber and Lyft all weekend (apps to download on your smartphone.) Right now if you DL Lyft, you get 2 free rides. So, then your friend downloads Lyft and uses your promo code and then you get 2 more free rides and they get a free ride in addition to their 2 free rides to start with. See, how we got 7 free rides right off the bat! Similar with Uber (for new users.)Also, take advantage of the Free Ballpark Trolley. Only stops are Downtown St. Pete and the Ballpark. Easy. Right by the bars in Downtown St. Pete.

Hotels: We were on a cheapo budget and stayed a few nights at Comfort Inn North. About a $10 Uber ride, 5-10 mins from the park. Ask to room on the parking lot side. The clientele is a little sketchy. But the hotel itself was fine. I also had a free night at the Marriot St. Pete Clearwater hotel. This hotel was beautiful with excellent customer service. They have a shuttle that will take you anywhere w/in 5 miles. Use it to go to the Courtside Grill. Nice restaurant with a great bar, lots of TVs, excellent American food. Meals range from $10-20. They happen to have good sushi there too.

Places to go:
Downtown St. Pete is not like a high-rise downtown. It's like a little town with tons of places to eat and bars. We pretty much went here everyday. Go to FIVE BUCKS DRINKERY. We discovered this little gem. Everything is under $5! A ton of things to choose from- Grilled Cheese stuffed with pulled pork and mac n cheese! Drinks! Tacos, fries, burgers- you name it. The first Friday of every month is called "First Friday" and they block off the street and its very crowded with people drinking in the streets.

Take the 30 min ride to St. Pete Beach. Have them drop you off at Toasted Monkey and walk to the back and sit outside overlooking the beach. Then take your beer to the warm ocean IN the water. It's legal. There are a few other bars on the same strip.

Clearwater Beach. This is a good 35-45 min drive but they say its the best beach around. I think it was okay, but that's probably only because I live in SoCal with nice beaches. The sand is fine and white! The water is warm. Go eat at Frenchy's Rockaway Grill. Sit on the patio overlooking the beach. Try the Crab She soup. It's rich but delicious!

I C Sharks. This is the cutest little tiki bar. You can rent paddle boards or boats. It reminds me of Hawaii. It's kind of secluded from other things, but check it out if you want to see a super cute atmosphere and eat some sea food. (about 20 min drive)

Rays Game of course. Find the elevators near home plate and say you are going to the Pasta Bar. Technically the Pasta Bar is on the Suite level where you have to have special tickets but if you take the elevator and say you are going to the Pasta Bar they point you to it. This pasta bar is $13 and they cook to order! You pick the pasta, sauce, veggies and they cook it in a pan for you right there. And you get a breadstick. So yummy. Try a mix of alfredo and marinara for a pink sauce! Try the pulled pork nachos located on the field level by 1st base. On Saturday nights they do the "Centerfield Shuffle" where you get to go out on the field after the game. So, don't leave early!
