Chuck, this is great. We (Sofia, her mom and me) did all current parks last summer. Now we need to get to Target field. Without the family I have hit 6 ballparks that no longer exist: Memorial Stadium, old Yankee Stadium, Shea, RFK, Candlestick, and old Busch Stadium. And the stadium the Marlins play in with the 10 or so different names! ;)

I've been to all of the Major League cities having seen games in 41 different stadiums. Alas, the opening of Target Field this year has once again left me one short of the active 30. I hoped to close it out this year but was unable to schedule a trip. In the words of all Mets fans, "wait until next year". I look forward to finish (again) in time to have to return to Florida in 2012.

For good measures, I have 12 minor league (so far) and 7 assorted others (unaffiliated leagues, Doubleday Field, Nagoya Dome, etc) to add as well.

That field is so much better then the METRODOME. As hardcore fans like we all are--baseball is better outdoors--although I do like the modern parks that have the retractable roofs like Miller and Safeco to protect against the elements but it would have cost $150million to the STATE of MN and that is a lot of dough for maybe a handful of rainouts

I've been to all 30 current parks; 40 total. Enjoyed visiting Target Field back in June; October baseball should be interesting this year if the Twins advance far.

Next new park will open in 2012 in Miami, new home of the Miami Marlins. They need to build a new one in St. Pete too for the Rays.

I am hoping that the book I am writing will help with the publicity of that kind of thing too. Even if MLB doesnt use the fans as much--they should dedicate more time to exploring each individual park-it is what makes baseball so unique. That is why I can't thank Craig enough for starting this website. It encourages all of us to ballpark chase.

I agree about the reality show. I tried working on a segment with MLB Productions but it never got past the opening ideas (treatment). Perhaps, if more people are involved then something could happen. MLB Network needs offseason programming. I think more segments should be dedicated to fans. We always here about the players (which is nice) but there are millions of die hard fans including those on ballparkchasers.

Yeah, a game would be good. I still say we should all pitch ESPN about a reality show like the amazing race but do it with ballparks. The stuff that can happen while attempting to visit a stadium is incredible

Doug. Some day, we should meet up and go to a game. It would be pretty cool to get the 6 people in the world who have done 30-30 or less together.
