Yankees at White Sox Ticket at Milwaukee County Stadium.

During the 1968 and 1969 seasons, the White Sox played a few of their home games at Milwaukee County Stadium. The "Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, Inc" was attempting to lure a team to now mostly vacant County Stadium after the Braves owners took them to Atlanta in 1966. The attempt to move the White Sox ended when the bankrupt Seattle Pilots were moved to Milwaukee.

In the 1968 and 69 seasons, the Chicago White Sox played around 20 home games at Milwaukee County Stadium. Here is a copy of the front and back sides of a ticket for one of those games. Note the ticket shows the host is the "Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, Inc".  The Sox of those days had been threatening to move because of poor attendance. The effort proved mute because the bankruptcy courts appointed the broke Seattle Pilots to a new owner group in Milwaukee. Thus, the 1970 season re-introduced the American League Brewers. The Brewers were an original AL club in 1901. Today, after two moves over the last 116 seasons, we call that 1901 team the Baltimore Orioles.
