Pending on how my finances go for next year, Busch Stadium is next on my list. I remember going to the HOF & Museum at Busch back in 96. At that point it was more like the Stan Musial HOF and Museum. I also remembered going to the Bowling Hall of F…

I thought the outside was OK. It does get overshadowed large in part by Paul Brown Stadium. Same thing in a way with Ford Field & Comerica in Detroit. I kinda got tired of the brick exterior. I mean it's great, but in a way, it's too much the norm n…

The one charm GABP seems to be missing is a feel for the stadium itself, from the outside, unless you're on the river. It's so tucked away due to 2 buildings. The Reds Hall of Fame and where they sold tickets which looked like it housed the corp off…

my dog fell apart from the bun. I did like the idea of real cheese though (something not found in Atlanta). I love the idea of Chaser Guides.

Thanks for your review, Tim. I couldn't agree with you more! However, I am a little biased...being a die hard Reds fan! Call me crazy but I do have to say that I enjoyed the Skyline Chili Dog. It hit the spot along with a Reds victory!

You'll get your bang for the buck at GABP, that's for sure. I loved almost every second of it.

Cincinnati

Over the first week of the season, my wife graciously let me drive up to Cincinnati to catch a couple of Mets/Reds games at Great American Ballpark for my 3rd anniversary. It might be the only park I'll end up getting to in 2009 considering it is the closest MLB city to Atlanta (Tampa is the other one and I've already been to that) and my schedule is up in the air. Next year it's either the Cell or Kauffman.

The funny part is, when it comes to new stadiums and these "reviews" I have read from p… Continue

Big Apple Baseball

My wife & I took our annual trip to a city with a baseball stadium. And for the 2nd straight year, we went to two stadiums. It was Yankee Stadium and Shea Stadium. Leading up to the trip, I was told that Yankee Stadium was the gem of all gems while Shea was the MLB dump.

After watching games at both stadiums, I can say that I was disappointed with one and surprised with the other.

For Yankee Stadium, I thought it was an okay place to watch a game. It was nothing like I hoped it would be re… Continue

Stadium "Superlatives"

Since we all have the passion for going to baseball stadiums all over this great country, it got me thinking a little bit: When we signed up one question was, what is your favorite stadium?

How about what is your LEAST favorite stadium that you've been to? What stadium has the best food? What stadium surprised you the most (like you thought it was going to be a dump, but it wasn't too bad)? What stadium disappointed you the most? What stadium would you go back to again (not the hometown one)? W… Continue

The Thrill of the Stadium

Going to all the baseball stadiums has been a lifelong dream of mine. It wasn't only until my final two years of college I really put the whole idea of going to a different stadium into motion (large in part because of financial issues).

As a kid I was fortunate enough to spend a few summer nights on the old corner of Michigan & Trumbull watching the Detroit Tigers play. My favorite spot to sit? The right field porch in the upper deck. In fact, Tiger Stadium might have been the only stadium… Continue
