My baseball craving was only very slightly sated by an emergency trip to Daejeon to see the Hanwha Eagles on Saturday 15th April, but that trip was rushed. Very rushed. So I didn’t have time to have much of a wander around what looks to be a very nice stadium.
I made sure I had plenty of time for wandering when I headed into Jamsil Stadium in Seoul for a Saturday spring training game – KIA Tigers at LG Twins. It’s a rather tedious and uncomfortable 2 hours on a very…

I have landed a job in Korea for the next 12 months. I start work on 14 February.
Opening day for the KBO is March 29 at Jamsil (Seoul), Munhuk (Incheon), Daegu (Daegu) and Sajik (Busan) and the season runs through until the middle of September. I can probably make Sunday afternoon games in Seoul, Incheon and Daejeon from where I will be living. but it will probably make more sense to go for a Saturday evening game and stay overnight. The other stadiums in the south of the…

OK, so I haven't hit up all 30 MLB Parks yet. I will, eventually. Like the economy, my travel plans have hit the wall....for now . But this past Wednesday was a little personal milestone for me. Having seen the Royals play the Angels in Anaheim this past Wedensday, 5/15/2013, I can now officially say that I have seen all 30 MLB teams in action live !!! Another one of these "so-called" baseball fans bucket list of things I can now cross off. And it only took me 31 years to do this…

Yesterday I wrote about having picked up a book titled The Baseball Fan's Bucket List. This book has a list of 162 things that we baseball fan's must see, do, get & experience. I'm sure most of you have already done a good number of the things listed in this book, such as Take a Baseball Road Trip ( Listed #1 ), Go to Opening Day ( Listed #3 ), and there's some things that some of us may never do, like Throw Out the First Pitch ( #139 on the list ) or Host a Minor League Ball Player (…

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of traveling down to Viera, Florida for a family wedding.
The church were the ceremony was performed was right next to Space Coast Stadium, were the Washington Nationals play in the spring, and home of the Minor League Brevard Manatees. The team was on the road, so no games were being played, but i will be back in the spring.

I have lived in Jacksonville, Florida since December of 1980.
I had never been to a minor league ball park except for a 1978 Detroit Tigers Spring Training game in Lakeland, Florida, home of Joker Marchant Stadium.
The Lakeland Flying Tigers are the current home team, and the Lower Single "A" affiliate of the Tigers.
I went to my first minor league game in 1981, in downtown Jacksonville, to old
Wolfson Park, where the Jacksonville Suns played their…

It's difficult to explain how a new stadium that cost $1,500,000,000 could still have obstructed view seating.
It was only discovered after the fact that the new Yankee Stadium has a major design flaw. The Mohegan Sun Sports Bar that takes up the batter's eye in center field is a rectangular building placed smack in the outfield bleachers. As a result, people sitting in the wrong parts of Sections 201 and 239 may have of a portion of the field blocked from view by a bar for people…

Hey Kids, here's a tip for Yankees fans living in NJ:
I have tentative plans to go to the new Yankee Stadium on May 5th, provided my boss lets me have the day off and my wife doesn't notice.
Being a New Jersey native my whole life, I've learned to find ways to beat a system that is designed to be unbeatable, that being avoiding any extra charges for tolls and parking that can be avoided without a great deal of effort.
I state in my Yankee Stadium Guide (to be…

There is one thing you can say about Yankees fans; they have a lot of passion for their team. I have been to the new and old Yankee Stadium before but I never paid as much attention to the fans as I did this past Saturday. I must have counted a least 20 fans sporting Yankee tattoos in the time it took me to get into the stadium. I have a hard time imagining that there is anything walking around with the Nationals curly W tattooed on their body, that kind of passion doesn’t exist in this city…

Hey everyone, it's been awhile since i've posted here. With the all-star game coming up tomorrow in St. Louie, I thought I might share with you a my slide shows here from my trip to St. Louis in May of 2005 and August of 2006 of both old and new Busch Stadium. In '05, my buddy Josh and I had an opportunity to see our Dodgers do battle with the RedBirds in old Busch's last season and returned in '06 to see their rival Cubs in the new digs. I'm sure all of you have heard how great a baseball town…

Hey ball fans !!! Can you believe we're almost 2 months into the season. And fellow Dodgers fans, after watching our Boys in Blue just complete their road trip winning 4 of 6 in Philly and Florida and watching Kershaw nearly throw a no-hitter, are you convinced yet that we will DEFINATELY be allright while Manny is out ?
Anyways, below I have posted some pics I took during opening week here in Southern California from PETCO to Angel to Dodger Stadium . It was quite an opening week…

I've uploaded some pictures and put some thoughts on my blog related to the new Yankee Stadium in
The New Cathedral of Baseball. Yes Ken your right, very little new history has been made there (with the exception of giving up 14 runs in an inning), however, this cathedral pays homage to the storied franchise that has won almost a quarter of the World Championships played. This is a tough thing to say for a Mets fan.

As a Mets fan since 1984, the one baseball stadium that I was always apprehensive of going to was the hallowed halls of the "House that Ruth Built". After all, the Yankees last World Series triumph in 2000 came at the expense of my team.
I really had to think about this one, and it came down to this. Even as a Yankee hater, when you look at the tradition and history that this stadium brings, and the fact that its days are now numbered, even I felt compelled to pay a visit to a place…
