Whoever said Kansas City was boring and Detroit was a dump,.... well, they were right. But to Josh and the Thirty27 team though, they were stops #9 and #10 of the tour. Josh's old man, Jonny, had flown to KC, and was waiting at a remote EconoLodge, as far from civilization as possible in this day and age. He reportedly walked over 6 miles in 124 degree mid-western summer heat to find a single slice of pizza. His room had been booked by Mrs. Robbins, with the obvious intent of keeping Jonny away from people, and therefore out of trouble.

The trio, now Josh, Bob, and Jonny, watched the Rockies get beat up by the Royals. It was the second straight Rockies game of the trip, since the previous day the Thirty27 team was in Denver. This is not the first time that has happened on the trip though. The trip saw the A's two days in a row, it's already seen the Marlins twice, the Mets twice and after yesterday has seen the Tigers three times, in just ten games.

After the KC game, in which America's favorite usher, Mallory, was a disappointing no-show (insert smiley face here), the threesome drove through the night to Detroit. On the way, Bob bowed out of the trip and the team did a small detour to drop him off at Midway airport in Chicago. Bob got on his flight to Spokane, while the father/son duo continued to Detroit. Kenny Rogers made his second start of the trip for the Tigers. I spoke to Josh as the Thirty27 team headed to Canada, where tomorrow they will arrive in Toronto. For those that know, or don't know Josh history, I just hope that Jonny will be driving at all border crossings.

Overall, this trip has been an amazing success so far. They have made the first pitch of every game, and only have one speeding ticket. Josh and his teammates have even been able to catch up on sleep at times.

Also, I'm hoping to soon get a report from Josh on his favorite stadiums so far....

The heck with Guinness. You guys did a great job last year...and this year I set the world record by driving to all thirty stadiums in a record 26 days (with friends and family help). Just because I missed two innings of the dodgers game doesn't diminish the feat at all. 14212 miles in 26 days.

Sorry to read that you won't be able to break the world record. My brother and I made an attempt last year and failed for missing a first pitch, the D-backs changed the start time two hours earlier, and we had arrived in Phoenix at 9am that day. Our tickets said 7pm, they started at five. Guinness rules state you must be in attendance for the first and last pitches.

We also got a speeding ticket in Colorado, 6uinness' criteria also states you cannot break any laws in travel if you're driving. We still finished the trip to all 30 parks and did it in 28 days, we wanted to see them all and raise money for charity. In that we succeeded.

Good luck on the rest of your trip. Be safe.
