I was driving from my parents home in Tennessee back to my home in Massachusetts, so I decided to overnight in Baltimore and take in a game (Aug 8, 2008). I used to live in Baltimore, so this was a homecoming for me. My two kids were with me and had a fantastic time at the game. My son has been to several games at Camden Yards (including one when he was two months old), but this was my daughter's first game. The fact that the Orioles beat the Rangers 9-1 made my son happy, while the fireworks after the game cemented my daughter as an Orioles fan. The game time temperature was 82 degrees with a beautiful sky overhead. You couldn't have asked for a nicer night for baseball.

Sounds like a great time and that's awesome that it was your daughter's first game.

Camden Yards is my favorite park I've visited to this point.

I do that rather frequently, although more often than not I stop at a minor league park as a way to break up a long drive. When my kids and I drove from Iowa to Massachusetts last April (I had a short term job in Iowa) we took in three minor league parks along the way.

Sounds like a great night, Kevin! Well done on turning a simply drive home into a baseball trip! :)
