I have been to all the current ballparks except Target Field and Chase Field. Next Friday May 21st I will be attending the Baltimore Orioles @ Washington Nationals game. I know the Nats are playing well but the ticket prices were more than I would have expected for a team that has been worst in baseball the past two seasons. I got 4 tix in the lower UD between 3rd and LF for a reasonable $25/ticket. This will be my second trip to Nationals Park. I attended a game there back in 2008 when it first opened.

One of the main complaints I have with trying to attend a game out of your home market (mine is NY) is that it is getting harder and harder to purchase a "Season Ticket". When I attend a stadium for the first time I like to get my hands on a ticket from a season ticket holder, usually with a picture of player and such. Stubhub is now all electronic tickets so I had to go to eBay this time. I did find "Season Tickets" for the game next week but I am worried that in the near future everything will be e-mailed tickets. Does anyone else see this trend coming quickly?

In addition, I will be at Citifield for the Mets vs. Phillies the following week but I am unsure which game yet. I have been there a few times since I am only coming from Long Island.

I AGREE!!

The poor Nationals. The ballpark is usually empty... very few fans, mostly fans from the opposing teams that come to check out their club. I feel like people might be more willing to see mediocre baseball if it didn't cost a fortune. One thing to note about the Nats is that they set aside about 400 tickets for each game, priced at $5. Those tickets are available about 2.5 hrs before the first pitch.

I agree that the email tickets are super annoying. Everything I seem to buy on StubHub seems to be that way. I haven't done eBay yet, but I have been using Craigslist and the other ticket brokers as soon as I get into the away team town.

Another complaint I have is the San Francisco Giants. I decided that since StubHub doesn't get me hard tickets, I would buy directly from the club. At least I would have an official ticket to show. I'm not sure how many clubs do this, but all of the Giants tickets on their official MLB website are priced at "market value". I found some overpriced tickets that I could live with, and I bought the tickets, paying extra to have them ship hard tickets to me (versus print from home tickets). The tickets came in the mail a few days later. However, the tickets were shipped from tickets.com! The tickets look fake... how disappointing.
