In a couple of weeks my wife and I are going to Chicago and catching a White Sox game at US Cellular Field on Thursday afternoon and then a Cubs game at Wrigley over the weekend. For those who have been there, can you share where to go around the ballparks in Chicago for restaurants, souveniers, atmosphere, etc. Thanks!

I lived on Southport and Addison (which is about a mile west of Wrigley) and I agree with what Chuck said above. There are plenty of establishments to choose from and they seem to have a good amount of people (they aren't nearly as packed as they are around Wrigley, but they aren't empty either). Their is a brown line CTA stop south on Southport to that will take you pretty much wherever you need to go so you don't have to walk back to the red line if you do not want to.

If you have some time either before or after the game, try talking a walk to Southport St. It is a couple of blocks from Wrigley Field (I believe west, but am not certain about that) and they have some really great great restaurants and bars. Since it is a few blocks from the ballpark it is usually less crowded than the establishments right outside the park. If you have the time see a movie at the Music Box Theatre on Southport. It is a really neat historic movie theatre all within walking distance of Wrigley Field!

I believe that you may be talking about Bacci Pizzeria. When I go to Wrigley I love to go to Yak-Zies on Clark Street for some wings and their Chicago Tang Peeza!

There is a small pizza place next to Wrigley, adjacent to The Cubby Bear that makes the biggest slices of pizza I've ever seen. 5 bucks for a slice of pizza and pop! I don't remember the streets, but it is right on your way to the "EL" train stop right next to Wrigley. I highly recommend stopping in there for a bite before or after the game, the pizza was great! It was right under a red awning, if that helps.
