Gratitude at Angels Stadium of Anaheim

The sight of fans wearing their favorite player’s jersey. The sound of the flags flapping in the breeze. The taste of hot dogs, peanuts, and crackerjacks. It’s all in the experience of going to a major league baseball ballpark. It’s just not the same as watching a game on TV.

I bring this up because this week, I was cordially invited to attend a baseball game in Anaheim at Angels Stadium. The drive from San Diego was under two hours as we encountered the LA traffic. But hey, I’m excited, the Angels were playing the Boston Red Sox. Upon entering the stadium, I began taking photos to capture the moments.

It seemed like half the fans were cheering for Boston as Red Sox nation was proudly represented. But I could not help but notice how everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the families and their kids.

It was during one of these occasions, that I took the liberty of introducing myself to a family of fans. I explained to them that I was on a gratitude journey to remind people about the importance of being grateful. In my knapsack, I brought some letters and kindly asked if they could hold them up for a photo. Here is the result.Afterwords, I thanked everyone tremendously. It was just an amazing feeling to share with others. This was my first stop of many more I have planned. My intentions are to visit every professional NFL stadium, NBA arena, and MLB ballpark in North America.

As far as the game, Josh Beckett continued his dominance on the Angels at Angels Stadium. The Angels wasted so many opportunities to drive the go-ahead run, and eventually lost 4-2 in 11 innings. So, today I am grateful to be able to combine my love of sports with my grateful life. Because living a life of gratitude is more than just talking about it. It’s about living it with every breath from your body and then sharing it with the world! This is what Dave, The Gratitude Guy is all about.
