New "Events" Feature!
Here are my plans for LABOR DAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH...(modest plans compared to Meg's Japan trip!)
A friend and I plan to get to WASHINGTON on Monday (Labor Day). ANY NEAR-BY RESIDENTS THINKING OF GOING? (Let me know please!) Then, on the way home, we hope to hit PHILLY for the night game. There are a couple of 'Chasers going to be there too. (Gary has that day/night doubleheader listed under "Events" also.)
I know some regulars have used this new feature but how about YOU! Hope to see you on that page and then at some games! (Sorry Bob, I can't make any of your games. We'll hook up next year!)
Who would be interested in meeting at a Chicago game next year? We could have a 'Chaser Day at Wrigley! Since O'Hare is a major hub, it might be the most 'central' of all cities for everyone. Just my perspective tho'. Any other ideas for a 'Chaser Day?

Thanks for the reminder, Mark. We do need to make this happen for the 2014 season. Each year we can select a new ballpark to visit- it would be a lot of fun! We can write up a press release too and hopefully it gets picked up!

As I was sitting out the 2 hour rain delay at Memphis Auto Zone Park last night, I was thinking about a Chasers Day. It is nice to see others have thought about this as well. How about the idea of picking one date and everyone goes to a game at the stadium of their choice, being either a major league or minor league game? We can then report on what we did to celebrate Chasers Day. I also thought about the possibility of contacting the offices of MLB and each of the minor leagues and see if they would coordinate with the Chasers. Any thoughts?

Whoever came up with the idea I think its great! I just wish we had it earlier in the season because I am all done chasing for the summer. Hey a "chaser day" would be cool! Lets do it!

So glad to hear you like the new feature, Sharon. Thank you for supplying the idea to us!
I think next year this will be used a lot more since it will be available over the course of an entire season.
We have always kicked around the idea of a "Ballpark Chaser Day" or a "Ballpark Chaser Weekend" where we would plan in advance one ballpark per season to meet at and watch a game together. As our community grows, I will certainly organize this.
