Hey guys I am brand new to the site and am really liking what I am seeing. I am new to the ballpark chasing scene as I am only 19 years old, but am looking to up my game in 2014. I live in Louisville, Kentucky where there isn't a major league park so my first option is always Cincinnati and Great American Ball Park. I have now been to 4 ballparks after seeing Busch Stadium for the first time at the end of August. I am planning my trips for next season and am looking for help to make these trips run smoother. If you could give me anything, that would be great! Thanks!

Ryan- being from the Louisville area myself sometimes the huge cities and prices can be a little scary. We've been to 15 and always look to get as many as possible in the area. For instance CA, took 2 trips, LA, Anaheim, San Diego and San Fran & Oakland the next year. California wasn't bad to travel through and drive, but NY is another story. Have you given thought to how you'll get around? I've been looking into the groups where you pay fee and they drive you around, buy your tickets, and hotels for the NY, NY, Boston tour and maybe even Toronto. The only downfall would be free time. Their usually isn't much time alloted if there would be 10 other things you'd want to see in NY. There are maps online too that group the stadiums together by their location, which is a good tool to use. :)

I use the MLB 3 day glance to help schedule my trips. It is easier to see what other teams are in the "area" at the same time. another thing to keep in mind is things going on in the area at that time, like marathons, conventions etc. they can make things a little crazy and hotel prices go up.

Adding to Jim's comment, Chicago and Milwaukee are not far apart, either. If you planned the Chicago homesteads carefully, you might be able to get both Chicago teams as well as the Brewers.

Another option, though literally further afield, might be San Diego-Anaheim or Anaheim-LA.

Craig- I am looking to go to Fenway, Yankee Stadium, Citi Field, PNC Park and possibly Camden Yards.

Jim- Thanks! I will take that into affect!

I started my "chasing" by choosing cities with multiple ballparks, or ones in which I could easily travel between cities. This year my wife and I vacationed to DC, Baltimore, and Philly. Each of these are within about an hour of each other and public transportation is readily accessible. May want to look into that to experience multiple parks in one trip.

Hi Ryan- welcome to Ballpark Chasers! Have you looked at our Chaser Guides yet? Any idea which ballparks you are going to next season?
