It took a lot of trips to Philadelphia to finally visit the site of Shibe Park but I made the trip last year. There really is nothing left except for a historical marker but the Ballparks footprint is still there, a Church occupies the site now. All of the surrounding houses were there at the time the park was around, I remember seeing pictures of these houses with fans watching from the rooftops just like they do now at Wrigley. This shot was taken behind what used to be the right field wall..If I recall correctly Connie Mack installed what was termed the "spite wall" to deter fans from getting a free view of games.
