I plan on visiting Angels Stadium and Dodger Stadium in 2018 with my wife. Likely around Memorial Day time when I can catch both teams at home. Never been to either stadium and want to catch more than 1 game in each.

Any ideas on where to stay, whether or not to rent a car, etc? Ideally would like to stay in 1 hotel the entire trip but ok with staying one place for Angels games and then a different place for Dodgers games. Similarly, no issues with renting car for part of…

Ideally would like to stay in 1 hotel the entire trip but ok with staying one place for Angels games and then a different place for Dodgers games. Similarly, no issues with renting car for part of trip only, entire trip or not at all.

Would like to do a small bit of sightseeing too (Walk Of Fame, Griffith Observatory, Rodeo Drive, etc.) as never been to LA but games are primary focus.

Anyone able to offer any advice? It would be VERY much appreciated.

Ron
Dodgers Tips, BW Dragon Gate, and GREAT Chinese after the last outtag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2015-05-26:1681163:Topic:2119422015-05-26T05:05:12.312ZJennifer Cole (28)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/JenniferCole

We walked from BW Dragon Gate to and from Dodgers game (very doable if you can handle UPHILL on the way to the game. About 20 mins and a few stretches w/out sidewalks so on dirt shoulder. A lot of hills. Not for little kids or seniors. And if you have reserve level or upper deck tickets, you're climbing a lot of stairs as well to go inside.

If you're driving, there's a Cash Only lot on Stadium Way between Chavez Ravine and Eysian (sp?) with shuttles to the stadium. You'd probably have to arrive at least 2 hrs before game time to get a spot, it was filling up at 3:30 for a 5:10 pitch.

Best route from BW Dragon Gate (clean, good size rooms, very comfortable); Right on Hill, Left on College, R on Chavez Ravine, L on Stadium Way, R Elyisian (sp?).

If you're walking home, EXIT through the Sunset Blvd gate NOT the Stadium Way gate. If you're taking the Dodger Express back to Union Station, it's free but you have to backtrack to the BW Dragon Gate. Hotel staff told us to take Dodger Express the local bus #81 from Union Station. It stops right near the hotel.

Also, easy walk from Union Station to BW Dragon Gate, about 15-20 mins and right past Philipe's Original French Dip sandwich place. Crowded and slow. Good, not as amazing as
Yang Chow, 819 N. Broadway and literally around the corner from the Best Western Plus Dragon Gate. It is EXCELLENT, even the fortunate cookies tasted better than usual. Recommend carry out and eat in your room if you can't get a table. Def filled up fast within 30 mins of last out.

Sorry if this seems out of order, first day in LA and still on EST.
