My wife and I just completed our 4th summer baseball road trip together and our 1st with our daughter Megan (born in February.) We had a great time seeing my Mets play at Nationals Park and Citizen's Bank and seeing Steph's Yanks at Camden Yards. It was our first trip to Nationals Park and Camden Yards and we have high opinions of both. All three parks were especially accommodating with a 6 month old, especially in (although I hate to say it) Philadelphia. Not sure where next year will take…

It was our first trip to Nationals Park and Camden Yards and we have high opinions of both. All three parks were especially accommodating with a 6 month old, especially in (although I hate to say it) Philadelphia. Not sure where next year will take us as we hope to buy a house next spring, but Steph and I are up to 21 in our chase, while Megan is at 4! Thanks to everyone for all the advice they gave us here and on the Facebook page on taking a little one to ballparks!
Husband and Wife Baseball Road Trip to Seattletag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2013-11-02:1681163:BlogPost:1646812013-11-02T16:08:52.000Zjvolks (19)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/jvolks

This past summer my wife (Mrs. Yankee) and I made a trip across the country to see Safeco Field. I was extremely impressed with the ballpark, surrounding neighborhood and the wonderful weather in Seattle in August. I haven't been to every stadium yet but it is certainly in my top 5. The food was what most impressed me about the park. It had an amazing selection. On the way out to Seattle we hit up Target Field, Progressive and Wrigley, all favorites we visited for the 2nd or 3rd times.…

Returning home we visited Miller Park where we benefitted from the Ryan Braun vouchers, and Comerica Park.

Our trip next summer may have to be more subdued as we are expecting a little ballpark chaser in February! Our big question is will she be a Mets Fan or a Yankee Fan! We'll be staying on the east coast this summer and can't wait to take our soon to be little one chasing!

Can I ask if anyone knows how friendly ballparks are to strollers? Washington and Baltimore seem to be the two parks we're looking at for next summer.
ESPN Wrigley Field Articletag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2013-03-30:1681163:BlogPost:1341602013-03-30T22:03:41.000Zjvolks (19)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/jvolks

Very interesting. Some of the stuff the author mentioned in the article will never happen, but it does make some sense. I'm not a Cubs fan or from Chicago, but it is our favorate away field to visit. I might have a different perspective on keeping the traditions if I was a Cubs fan and knew that changing things would put more money on the field. In New York we just finished a winter chastising the Mets and Yankees for dropping their payroll. I know Cubs fans are a different breed, but I wonder if they'd be OK with dropping some of their traditions might help them get a couple of extra big time free angents?
2013 Husband and Wife Triptag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2013-03-26:1681163:BlogPost:1337062013-03-26T20:49:12.000Zjvolks (19)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/jvolks

After a long offseason dealing with Hurricane Sandy at work and a long northeast winter at home we can't wait to enjoy some summer fun at ballparks and national parks! This is our only new park this summer (we might make a weekend trip to Toronto though) but we intend to hit Glacier National Park and Badlands National Park on the way out and Yellowstone on the way back. We're also making what has become our yearly pilgimage to wrigley and going to Target Field, Miller Park and Comerica Park for the second time! As always any suggestions or reccomendations are appreciated!
Husband and Wife Baseball Road Trip 2012tag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2012-09-01:1681163:BlogPost:1220052012-09-01T21:33:46.000Zjvolks (19)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/jvolks

My wife and I just returned from our 2012 baseball road trip in time to go back to work. This time I can honestly say that we enjoyed Wrigley Field the best. We made sure to get to the Cubby Bear early as recommended by ballpark chasers and made a stop at Murphy's Bleachers as well. A Cubs win over the Rockies made it that much better as I think one of the great newer traditions in baseball is the singing of Go Cubs Go after a win.
Kaufman Stadium, although not having really anything outside the ballpark still had a good crowd despite the Royals being out of the race. It really is a nice looking ballpark as you would never be able to tell that your in a park built in the 70's. The fountains and big screen look great along with the picturesque midwest sky.
Coors and Minute Maid kind of dissapointing mostly because of the small crowds due to the performance of the teams.
Anyway, we have 17 ballparks visited together including the entire AL and NL Central. Next summer the plan is to hit some east coast parks we haven't gotten to yet and we'll start saving for a wet coast trip down the road.
2012 Trip Honeymoon Part IItag:www.ballparkchasers.com,2012-03-11:1681163:BlogPost:1084312012-03-11T17:53:41.000Zjvolks (19)https://www.ballparkchasers.com/profile/jvolks

Last year my wife and I got married on July 22nd and then took off from New York to see the ballparks of the midwest. We enjoyed it so much that this summer we are repeating our trip but travelling further south through Texas and up through Denver and Kansas City. The parks we have planned for this summer are:

Houston- Minute Maid Park

Arlington- Texas Rangers Ballpark at Arlington

Denver- Coors Field

Kansas City- Kauffman Statium

While I'm a struggling Mets fan my wife is a Yankee fan and is very excited to see the Yanks in both Chicago and Cleveland. Anyone with any suggestions about hidden gems in these ballparks or cities please let me know. Also, we plan ondriving the whole way from New York so if you know of any must stops or watering holes we'd love to here it!
