I need advice how can you get to toronto with a cheap airline and hotel to get to the stadium and back. I wanna hear from the others who been to toronto from the west coast since i live in california

Chicago hotels

After many years of threatening my wife I was going to embark on this journey, I began it last year. Going to San Diego and Miami parks.

This year is Braves, Cubs and White Sox.

Can anyone give info on decent places to stay in Chicago that is near the ball parks? I will not have a car and the distance between parks seems to be about 11 miles but have never been there and have no idea a good neighborhood from bad.

Not looking to stay in a flea bag motel, but not the 4… Continue

Nat's Park in June

Starting in Washington to see my Cubbies in every park the 4th thru the 7th. Staying in Arlington (Crystal City), Metro a block away from hotel. Have paper tickets to 4 games and was wondering if I can get the real ticket from customer service once I enter the park (for scrapbook purposes)? Also, which Ballpark Passport book should I buy? Am I missing anything? Please let me know.

Inquiry on Gameday Travel to Colorado, Bay Area

Hey Guys and Gals,

I'm back and I am ready to go exploring many of the ballparks in this country this summer! I will have some extra cash because I graduate and I get a trip or two that I am planning for leisure. My goal is to see some more parks!

With that being said, I am thinking of visiting family in Colorado Springs for a week. This would naturally mean that I would have been accompany me in a Rockies game and would like to know what time to leave might be best or what…

2015 MLB Travel Options for a 30 Ballpark, 30 Day Tour

I am posting this on behalf of my baseball friend, Reggie Deal, whom I met via this website. Reggie is blind and has trouble posting to this site so I am doing that for him.

-------------------------------

Now, time to reveal my 2015 30 ballpark, 30 day travel options. If you want to do this, tickets for all teams are now or will shortly be on sale and with the best options being early this season, time to start booking.

In past years when I have looked at the schedule…

Sunshine Pair

I am taking a trip in July to do the Sunshine Pair (Rays & Marlins) We arrive in Tampa and have our time there mostly figured out. We are visiting Tropicana Field, Steinbrenner Field, Yuengling Brewery, Raymond James Stadium, and the SS American Victory. The two days in Miami we only have the Marlins game scheduled. I was hoping someone who lives in the general Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area, or has done this trip, has any suggestions for things to do while we are there. It doesn't have to be…

Texas trip in April

Tentatively, it looks like I will be heading down to Dallas to participate in a conference for work in late April. After the conference ends, I should be able to take in the Rangers at Globe Life Park (Wed - 4/29 vs Mariners) and drive to Houston for an Astros game (Thurs 4/30 vs Mariners). Haven't decided if I will take in a 2nd Astros game on 5/1, or just return to Dallas for another game on 5/1 (A's). Have been browsing through the Chaser Guides, which are extremely helpful, and whatever…

Atlanta hotels

I am going to see the Padres and Braves in Atlanta this summer. I have checked out the suggestions in the chaser guide and am thinking about staying at the Country Inn and Suites right next door to Turner Field because we will not be renting a car. I have seen very contrasting reviews of this hotel on line and i was just wondering if anyone on this site has stayed at this hotel? I hear it is not in a great part of town, but seeing as we won't have a car to worry about, that doesn't really…

Cleveland/Chicago/Milwaukee July 9-14, 2014

Finally getting around to posting a quick summary of my 2014 trip. Two nights in Cleveland. Stayed at the Hilton Garden right across the street from the stadium. Was able to catch the rail from the airport to Tower City Center station downtown. Was able to see 2 night games vs The Yanks during the stay. With the free time on day 2 I visited the Rock n Roll HOF that morning and rented a car and drove down to Canton and visited the Pro Football HOF that afternoon. Spent about 2 1/2 hours at…

Cuba!

Hey Chasers---I'm psyched to see the Marlins vs. Rays at Estadio Latinoamericano in Havana! The place holds 55,000 and no doubt would sell out in a heartbeat for a major league game. It might happen sooner than we think. A good Cuban cigar would be a treat, too.

30 ballbarks in 30 days

A lot of people ask if its possible and how they would go about and do it. I just got done achieving my 30 ballparks in 30 days in August 2014 as a solo trip. It took me 29days 1hr and 47mins. It was the best time ive ever had. I learned so much more about the game, stadiums, fans and the cities and states I travel thru. It was an unbelievable journey and I found a great deal of appreciation and love for the game! Highly recommend, I never wanted to see all 30 in 30 days, its never even…

Yankee Stadium-1957

This is the scorecard cover from August 8,1957, Washington Senators at New York Yankees. The Nats won the game 6-1, before a throng of 9108. Mickey Mantle batted third and Yogi Berra batted cleanup, but the only homer hit that day was by the light-hitting Eddie Yost (the "walking man") of the Nats. I'll periodically be posting scorecard covers from other games I attended in different ballparks if there is any interest amongst the group.…

All Time Ballpark Rankings through 2014

As I sat down to do this, I thought (1) this would be easier and (2) I would have much more objective reasons for slotting each ballpark.

What I found out, and surmise may be true with most people, is that the ranking is really just a personal opinion on the totality of the circumstances surrounding the game(s) witnessed in the park, the historical significance of the park, the people who were at the game with me and, increasingly, how good the food and beer choices are.

Here's…

Parking for Busch Staduim

I had read that parking was tough for the Cardinals games. I went online and found a Irish pub, Llywelyn's, that offered a free trolley ride to the game. This worked out fantastic. Parking was free at the pub. We bought a couple of beers and all we had to do was show receipt to the trolley driver and off we went. Dropped us off right at the stadium and picked us up after. Trolley makes several runs before and after the game so we had no problem getting back to the pub, for you guessed it, a…

Mid Atlantic Road Trip 2014

My wife and I just completed our 4th summer baseball road trip together and our 1st with our daughter Megan (born in February.) We had a great time seeing my Mets play at Nationals Park and Citizen's Bank and seeing Steph's Yanks at Camden Yards. It was our first trip to Nationals Park and Camden Yards and we have high opinions of both. All three parks were especially accommodating with a 6 month old, especially in (although I hate to say it) Philadelphia. Not sure where next year will take…

Recent Trip

My 2014 baseball journey was a 6 day, 8 stadium journey to witness 9 games. Starting on June 27th and ending July 3rd, a total of 14 teams were seen during the trip.

Friday, June 27th- Angels at Royals. Late to the game, ended up missing Trout's 490 foot home run in the top of the 1st. Still kicking myself over that

Saturday, June 28th- Rays at Orioles. Highlight of the game was sneaking into the section behind the plate during the 4th inning after purchasing 13 dollar upper…

Last two West Coast Stadiums this year

I was up in San Francisco for work this weekend and was staying in Alameda so I decided to see the Giants game Friday night. I caught the ferry across, which worked out perfectly, no parking issues, no traffic problems at all! The game was good (but the Giants lost in the 10th) and the park was awesome, but chilly! I also met some really awesome people waiting for the ferry back.

I have two stadiums left for this year (Dodger Stadium and Angel Stadium). I am going to the Angels game…

Midwest Road Trip

It's that time of year again. After my very fun and busy Florida road trip last year (20 games in 12 days!), I am scaling it back a bit and only going to 6 games in 5 days. I am leaving on Wednesday and will be going to see the White Sox, Brewers and Cubs and minor league games in Beloit, South Bend and Kane County (Cubs and Kane County will be on the same day). I am also doing a stadium tour of Wrigley on the day my trip ends, since the Cubs will be on the road that day and, according to…

11 Park Trip

Just got back from an 15 game 11 park trip through the midwest and east coast. Out of the old parks I much preferred Fenway to Wrigley. Out of the new parks I felt Camden Yards was a notch above the rest. The city experience I enjoyed the most was staying in Manhattan and taking the subway to 2 Mets and 2 Yankees games. The park I was most dissapointed in was PNC in Pittsburgh just because of the high expectations I had. The park was great when you were in your seats but the concourses were…
