After many years of threatening my wife I was going to embark on this journey, I began it last year. Going to San Diego and Miami parks.

This year is Braves, Cubs and White Sox.
Can anyone give info on decent places to stay in Chicago that is near the ball parks? I will not have a car and the distance between parks seems to be about 11 miles but have never been there and have no idea a good neighborhood from bad.
Not looking to stay in a flea bag motel, but not the 4 Seasons either. A nice Hilton or Marriot if reasonably priced would be great
Suggestions?

I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown near the Magnificent Mile. The Red Line subway stop is literally right outside the hotel. It's about a 15 minute ride from there to both parks. Hotel was really nice, not too expensive, and right in the heart of the city with tons of bars and restaurants nearby to choose from.

hey I stayed at the Days Inn on Diversey,  check it out on the Chaser guide page. I would stay there again, & it's just a few blocks from transportation, about 1 mile walk to Wrigley.

Rob

Stay at a hotel in downtown (the Loop) area, you will be able to catch the red line to both parks and you'll find several great restaurants and other things to do within walking distance or a short cab ride. Hope this helps.

Hey Rob! Have you had the chance to look through our Chaser Guides yet? There are several hotel options for each ballpark. Enjoy your summer!
