A wedding, but no game.

Over the weekend I had the pleasure of traveling down to Viera, Florida for a family wedding.The church were the ceremony was performed was right next to Space Coast Stadium, were the Washington Nationals play in the spring, and home of the Minor League Brevard Manatees. The team was on the road, so no games were being played, but i will be back in the spring.See More

Visiting Tiger Stadium

I first entered the hallowed ballpark at the Corner in 1967, although I don't remember it. I was just 7 yrs. old, and my Uncle took me there, as he would every single year until 1974.The first time I can vividly see myself at Tiger Stadium was in 1969. I have lived in Jacksonville, Florida since December of 1980.



I had never been to a minor league ball park except for a 1978 Detroit Tigers Spring Training game in Lakeland, Florida, home of Joker Marchant Stadium.



The Lakeland Flying Tigers are the current home team, and the Lower Single "A" affiliate of the Tigers.
