# of additional parks you'll go to this year: hoping for 1 of the 2 (Miami and Minneapolis)

# of MLB defunct MLB parks you've seen a game in: 6 (Yankee Stadium, Shea, Metrodome, Joe Robbie, RFK, The Vet). Yes I know RFK and Joe Robbie aren't defunct, but they are as far as baseball is concerned.

Hello ~ new to the sight here, but not new to chasing ballparks (been actively chasing since 1996. thought this would be the perfect thread to start..

# of current 30 MLB parks you'd been to before 2015: 30 (all)
# of additional parks you'll go to this year: 0 new parks, 8 parks I have already seen
# of MLB defunct MLB parks you've seen a game in: 14
# of current and defunct parks you've seen your favorite team in: haven't counted, but probably 10-12. My closest park is Miller Park but I'm a Cubs fan.

Awesome that you've been to all 30. When a new park is built, do you then go there? Braves (my least favorite ballpark experience) will have a new ballpark soon. I'll go...begrudgingly.

I heading to Atlanta in 2 weeks to take in the Padres and Braves for 3 games, what was so bad about Turner Field?

Turner Field is my favorite. There's a lot of great things about it, but there's one thing that beats all other stadiums. The Tomahawk Chop is such a blast to do!

I think that we need to do a Meet-up in the first home stand of 2017.

My experience at Turner Field vs. every other ballpark I have visited thus far (23):
1) At every other ballpark, in addition to a sea of the home team jerseys/hats/etc., there are a handful of visiting team shirts/hats as well as various other teams (I always wear something Mets when on the baseball tour). At the Braves game I saw one person wearing a Padres shirt (visiting team) and no other teams. While my personal observation at one game is certainly not of statistical significance, it was noticeable.
2) Watching a Braves home game on TV and hearing/seeing the Tomahawk Chop is not one of my favorite things, at the game it is almost deafening. Not very pleasant. Beyond annoying.

My best friend and I try to get to the parks the year they open, yes. We have done that with most of the newer parks that have opened within the last 8-10 years.

Also was lucky to see the last two games at Shea Stadium and the last two games at Yankee Stadium. We hit some of the east coast parks in between.

I have been to 16 current MLB ballparks 1979-2014.
I don't think I will cross off any new ones this year.
I have seen a game in 5 defunct MLB parks (Kingdome, Metrodome, Busch II, Milwaukee County Stadium, Pro Player Stadium).
I have seen my favorite team, Twins, play in 5 parks (Milwaukee County Stadium, Kaufman Stadium, U.S. Cellular Field, Metrodome, and Target Field)

# of current 30 MLB parks you'd been to before 2015: 8
# of additional parks you'll go to this year: 4 new (Cubs, White Sox, Brewers, Twins), 2 repeats (Cincy, Washington)
# of MLB defunct MLB parks you've seen a game in: 0
# of current and defunct parks you've seen your favorite team in: 1 - Washington Nationals

I have been lucky enough to have seen the Nationals in Washington about 45 times.

My husband and I started our MLB ballpark stadium trips in 2012. I had already visited 3 ballparks, and he had visited 2 before we started together. Before 2015 we have visited 6 ballparks together. We are going to 4 in 2015 that are already planned. I have been to the old Yankee Stadium back in 2001. We are from Missouri and our favorite team is the St Louis Cardinals. We have been to 2 of the Busch Stadiums. We have seen the Cardinals play in 5 of the 6 ballparks we have already visited together. We will see the Cardinals play in 2 of the 4 ballparks we will visit this year. We are already planning our trip for next year and plan on visiting at least 3 in 2016.
