I am going to be to games in Washington, Baltimore, Philly, and Pittsburgh.  As part of my quest to hit every stadium, one of the things I am doing is trying to eat the ballpark favorite/signature foods at each one.  Anybody who has any suggestions for what I must eat while I'm there would be great.  I will take any suggestions for the other parks as well for when I get ready to go to the other stadiums.

Just got back from Nationals Park.  The half smoke was unbelievable.  One of the best ballpark foods I have eaten.  Thanks to everyone who suggested it.  Baltimore tomorrow!

Just got back from PNC this week. Everyone suggested not going to Primanti Bros at the park. We caught the "T" from the Park to Gateway stop and walked back. There is a Primanti Bros downtown. This included a nice trip across the Clemente Bridge when going back to the park. Worth it if you have the time. The "T" is free to certain areas. Hope this was helpful.

One week and the fun begins.  I've made up my mind on what foods to eat.  Washington: The Half Smoke; Baltimore:  BBQ sandwich from Boog's; Philly:  The Schmitter and a cheese steak; Pittsburgh:  Primanti Brothers.  If there something I may be missing out on, let me know.

Shawn...I haven't been to KC since 2003, but Gates Barbecue was in the ballpark then and that's a big Kansas City staple. I can't wait to get started on a guide for Kauffman Stadium, it's one of my favorite ballparks...you'll love it.

It is awesome to see so many take interest in the stadium foods like I do.  I am going to Kansas City on September 1st to watch the Royals and Twins.  I will take any tips that anybody has.

Boog's was kind of the first ballpark staple food that wasn't a hot dog, and it's unbelievable what you can get to eat at ballparks now. I remember when Camden Yards didn't have Polock Johnny's, Deli 54, the Natty Boh Bar or the Bud Light Warehouse. And still I get near Boog's and it's just...well, hmm, maybe next time. Maybe it's what Bill said, I'm not the biggest fan of BBQ at the ballpark, even though they all have them now. But I've tried the Bull's in Philly--great turkey sandwich! :-)

Kurt, your ballpark credibility has taken a hit! Haha, but seriously, I can't believe you have never tried such a staple!

Kurt, it's fine. I get it because I like BBQ in general, but it's nothing to write home about. It's good by ballpark standards, but I would much rather find a place to sit down and have some brisket or burnt tips.

Kurt, get over the mental block. You are missing something!

You guys probably won't believe this, but I've been to Camden Yards for close to about 50 games and have never tried Boog's. I can't explain it. I just get this mental block. I'm an O's fan too, you'd think I'd love to shake hands with the Big Booger.
