Favorite Ballpark Features

I posted this for the last 9 weeks of the offseason on my twitter feed. Basically, its a top 9 favorite features at the current 30 MLB parks:

9 - The statues in the outfield area at Comerica Park

8 - "Think Blue" sign and San Gabriel Mountains beyond the outfield at Dodger Stadium

7 - McCovey Cove and San Francisco Bay beyond the outfield at AT&T Park

6 - The warehouse and Eutaw Street at Oriole Park at Camden Yards

5 - Monument Park at Yankee Stadium (Don't need to be a Yankee fan to appreciate history.)

4 - The Home Run Apple at Citi Field

3 - Pittsburgh skyline and the river outside PNC Park

2 - The Green Monster at Fenway Park

1 - The ivy on the outfield walls at Wrigley Field

Others of note:

- Home Run bell at Citizens Bank Park

- Bernie's slide at Miller Park

- The cool neon clock at Safeco

- Heritage Park in Progressive Field (Basically the Indians' version of Monument Park)

- Western Metal Supply building at Petco Park

Looking forward to my trip to Texas at the end of April. I'll have tons of pictures of Minute Maid Park, Rangers Ballpark and the Astrodome soon!

Comment by Eric Hanson (35) on April 5, 2011 at 9:26am: Good list, Eric! I wouldn't disagree a bit... especially the top three. The Pittsburgh skyline on a clear evening game as the setting sun reflects off the downtown buildings is great. And the top two are absolute classics. Great!
