I am going to be to games in Washington, Baltimore, Philly, and Pittsburgh.  As part of my quest to hit every stadium, one of the things I am doing is trying to eat the ballpark favorite/signature foods at each one.  Anybody who has any suggestions for what I must eat while I'm there would be great.  I will take any suggestions for the other parks as well for when I get ready to go to the other stadiums.

As far as I can remember, the sandwiches at Boog's are pulled chicken, pork and beef. I usually go with pork when I get BBQ, but all three are about the same. Boog's attracts a big line, but I don't think it's worth raving about. My uncle actually preferred the Jack Daniels BBQ next to it, you get more sauce mixed in the meat. Chaps is outside of the harbor area and you get more bang for your buck, but I don't know if you want to venture out there. It's not far but if you are sticking to the immediate area around the ballpark you wouldn't be interested. Pollock Johnny's is a good choice, and so is Pickles Pub. They have typical bar food like wings, rings etc, but it is pretty cheap. One night I went in with two friends and spent less than $35 on a few pitchers of beer and a bunch of different appetizers. Good times.

Sean,

At OPACY, they are now serving Flying Dog (www.flyingdogales.com) brewed in Frederick, MD. I suggest taking a walk through the 1st base concourse before making your ultimate food decision. There are lots of good food options. I had a pretty good cheesesteak sandwich (obviously not Philly, but I was looking for something other than Boog's too) at, I think it was The Baltimore Chop House. There are some local places there too like Polock Johnny's Famous Polish Sausage.

Boog's is certainly a classic and anything you get there will be excellent. I usually go Pit Beef Sandwich. Hope that helps!

The Italian beef was a very good sandwich.  It was juicy with a little added kick from the peppers I put on it.  My girlfriend had the buffalo chicken sandwich.  It was okay but not anything too great.

Well yeah, it's probably a long shot. There is a pretty big tailgating scene there, so maybe you could try making a friend in the parking lot! :-)

i don't know anyone who will be there, i'm just going on a roadtrip, but maybe i'll try one of your methods. it's cubs/white sox in the crosstown cup so who knows if it would work.

Bill - there is a way of getting around that...if you know someone who is going to that game and has a lower level ticket, you can either borrow it from them once you're both in or make a copy of it to show the ushers, just make sure you don't use that to get in!

Definitely getting the Balkan Dog. I might have restricted access to the lower level, but that sounds really good!

Shawn - I haven't had the chance to update the U.S. Cellular Field E-Guide with this, but it should help you...
