Hey Ken, where do you rank TARGET FIELD, I just need your ranking and mine when I go and I might adjust the 13th-14th-15th and 16th positions on the FINAL RANKINGS. You will probably like where NEW YANKEE STADIUM wound up.
Thanks Ken,
I'm doing a Mets/Philly/O's end of school year baseball trip with the family.
The Philly game is a day game on Thurs, so heading to Balt. will probably take longer with rush hour. Hopefully I'll see Strausberg on Friday but I think he's going on Wed.
Jim
I completely agree with you Ken. I need some BASEBALL!

Gosh, tough call! I have to go with an all-around experience and Yankee just did it for me. The atmosphere inside and outside is something that makes it very unique. With that being said, I really liked them both and find it tough to rank new parks.

If I can make the game, it'd be great to meet up with you guys. My parents will be in town that week and we're going to one of those games, but I can't remember which one. Don't worry about getting another ticket - I can usually find them last minute from various folks. I'll check out my plans and will let you know
You can definitely get to the main concourse and grandstand (includes SRO) from the bleachers. You have to go through the concourse (can't just walk around in the stands), but its not hard to follow. Pretty funny that the SRO tickets are more. Although, I might pay a few bucks to not have to sit in the terrible wood bench seats in the grandstand (the bleacher seats are much better).
I figured you'd be all set - that is real close to the park. I'll keep my input to food, then - grab a hot dog at Spike's, which is between your hotel and Fenway, near the intersection of Mass Ave and Boylston.
Good luck with the DH- on the plus side, if you're running late out of NY, the traffic into Boston will only be better. I see you've been the Fenway before, so you're well aware of the fun driving near the park can be. I live about 2 miles from the ballpark and have some input about getting around here if you haven't already planned that out.
Hi Ken, Thanks for checking the site out - I'm glad you like it. Thanks for the input, too - I'm working on adding an ending point as an option for the trip generator. I hope the site comes in handy for you. Enjoy your trip next month - what's the DH on Thursday?
Hey Ken...both NY parks are nice. Yankee Stadium is expensive! The vendors were charging 9 bucks for a 16oz beer and the food was about 15% higher than what i have seen at other parks. If you want to get into monument park it closes about an hour before game time. The center field scoreboard was the best feature. I liked Citi Field better, as it seemed more open. (less concrete) Enjoy your trip!!
Ken, glad to help. Out in center field is a bridge that goes behind the bullpens. On the right field side of the bridge are stairs down to the bullpen gate. That is where the original Apple (the one in my picture) is. I would recommend that you try to get there early as lines during the game seemed long. We just walked up and took the picture. The new Apple in center field is quite a bit larger and looks more polished (although they did do a nice job cleaning up the old one).

I'll be at Safeco Field this Thursday night and Sunday afternoon. If you can meet up with me that would be great.
I recently started a blog in February. Here's the link: http://www.royaltytours.blogspot.com/
Check it out if you haven't done so already.
As for your visit, you saw my boy Gio Gonzalez pitch Sunday. He pitched great. Glad to hear you had a great time there.
I saw Gio at Yankee Stadium last night. If you want to read about him it's on my blog.
I'm a very knowledgeable person when it comes to sports travel. My friend and I have traveled together all over the country for over 20 years.
If you need any assistance please feel free to contact me.
I gave Chuck a hard time without knowing his background. I was going by what I read on this site.
I'm here to help all the ballpark chasers who are willing to take my advice. It's been great to connect with people who share the same passion.
It's a team effort. If everybody joins together, life gets better for all of us.
Have a good day.
Safe travels.
Yours truly,

I should be able to do it, I work overnights at 11pm in NYC now, so I might have to head out around the 7th inning, but I would be totally up for it.
