for Mark Saccomanno last night. You hear about players who have hit a HR in their first major league game, but what about this storyline:

It was scoreless in the fifth of Monday night's Astros-Pirates game when 28-year-old Mark Saccomanno stepped to the plate for the first time in the big leagues and hit the first pitch out of the park for a 1-0 lead. He's a 23rd-round draft pick from Klein Forest High School in Houston. His parents were in the stands as he got the call in Round Rock earlier in the day, hopped a flight, and helped the Astros win a game they had to have.
