I was just looking at the schedule and just for fun was looking at a time in the schedule where all the east coast teams were all at home this summer. Just for fun, I kept going through the schedule in exact geographical order around the country, basically the route you would take to see all 30 stadiums with NO backtracking. I thought for sure as I kept checking each team that I would eventually hit a point where one team would be gone for at least more than a week and it would put a snag in the trip, but to my amazement, it never happened. Each time I checked the next teams schedule, they were at home during the time I was checking.
If anyone living in the Northeastern US is looking for an extremely efficient road trip, but not not too fast, this is the trip for you. The only time there was a slight gap in the games was where you would need it, where there are stretches of over 1000 miles of driving. Ive seen many people post 30- stadium trips where they are zig zagging all over the country. I just recently saw a guy go 18000 miles to see all the stadiums. This trip I have here is about the least amount of driving possible, right about 10000 miles in total. When you check on the map, you will see what I mean, I dont think there is a more efficient route that this one. Heres the trip, I would love to hear if anyone in the Northeast or anywhere for that matter, is able to take this trip, because it is very efficient, but can be done comfortably, because the average drive is only about 250 miles between each city, but the first week the cities are all very close to each other, so easy to see one each day.

So I just joined ballparkchasers and found this blog, but what's awesome is it's very similar to the trip I have planned starting next Monday July 1st in Toronto. I will be attending a number of the games that you have mentioned on this list!

Thanks... That is really helpful!! It lets everybody see what might work for their own personal schedules. You are right about being able to get several games in in just a few days. Heads up now though... Passport needed for Toronto!

If I had unlimited money and vacation time, I would love to do a trip like this with no back tracking and adding in other games on the missing days(either another major league gamein the city before moving to the next stop or a minor league team on the way)

well, you could go straight to atlanta after baltimore and pick up pittsburgh at the end of the trip after you leave toronto

Cool post. Though DC to Baltimore is a slight backtrack, it technically isn't if you're going to Pitt next. Wait, wouldn't Pitt be a backtrack?

yea, I forgot to add that washington to baltimore is a slight backtrack ,as is Los angeles to anaheim, both about 30 mile backtracks. I would take that considering you could be going thousands of extra miles doing it other routes. As far as Miami, you would have no choice but to backtrack up through florida

Washington to Baltimore is backtracking, albeit a slight one...as is Tampa Bay to Miami to Houston

But that would be a great trip...

That would be legit, I'm hoping in a few years I can do something like that.. My trip I have planned next month took a while to plan, but once I do it, I'm sure I'll want to top it next time.
