It's a wrap! The official Third Annual Ballpark Chasers Meetup was a huge hit! See the photo highlights here.
The 2016 Chasers Meetup was held August 20th in Baltimore, Maryland. The group initially met at Pickle's Pub, directly across the street from Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Chasers from around the country swapped ballpark stories while eating and drinking local favorites. Following the bar gathering, the group walked a few blocks to The Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum. The sold-out private event was held in their outdoor courtyard and was catered by a neighborhood restaurant, Camden Pub. The Babe Ruth Museum director of Operations, Ed Meerholz, welcomed the group by discussing the history of the Museum and current exhibits. Chasers then broke into two groups and toured the museum.
After the museum tour, Chasers were on their own to see Oriole Park, stamp their MLB Ballpark Pass-Port, sample ballpark food, and simply enjoy each other’s company. Deuces were wild that night as fans witnessed the visiting Astros score two runs in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 9th inning! The Astros clobbered the hometown Orioles 12-2. "It was a great day! We were very happy to see such a large turnout- 90 was the official count", stated Ballpark Chasers Founder, Craig B. Landgren.
Ballpark Chasers officially announced today that their 2017 Meetup will be held in Atlanta, Georgia, home of SunTrust Park. Landgren went on to say, "We are excited next year’s Meetup will be held in a brand new ballpark that most will be visiting for the first time". This will mark the first time a Meetup will be held in a ballpark’s inaugural season. The 2017 Fourth Annual Meetup date will be finalized when Major League Baseball announces game times in January.
