New Yankee Stadium - 1/3 of the way there....just about :)

NYS is my 10th stadium, and today's 9-1 (10 runs scored combined for my 10th stadium....the Gods were sending me signs....LOL)

The stadium was beautiful, less intimate and cozy then Citi Field or Oriole Park or Citizens....but still a great place to watch a game. I sat in the bleachers and found it to be quite enjoyable and a great place to watch the contest

Monument Park should have been at least half more of the size then it is....felt cramped and that the plaques and monuments we on top of one another, but still it was great to feel the history, something my teams ballpark is missing.

The stadium tour was lacking....only 45 minutes, which was about 40 min shorter then last weeks Citizens Bank tour....and the guide wasn't well versed in history but was definitly a fan of the NYY's. You know that when me as a diehard Mets fan is able to give more history about the Yanks then the tourguide something is amiss.

The support staff around the stadium was on occassion offensively rude, they tossed a young guy who had a sign for saying "why do you hate fun".....the ticket takers yelled at fans as they entered and the waiter at the hard rock cafe was clueless.....I had to tell him what a speciality drink was and how it was supposed to be served.

The history was amazing and the inner bowl of the stadium was great, I felt like I was across the street...exact dimensions and even the outfield ads were in the same place...WB Mason, Yomuri Japan Newspaper, Canon......

Unless it's a Ballpark Chasers Day at the Stadium for a tour then I won't be amused at some crock of a tour. Bad enough they've destroyed a special place for so many fans. The least they can do instead of having 4 tours is to give some world class service on a non game day.

I agree that the tour was too short and not worth the money paid. It would have better if they showed the press box like last year, maybe a luxury suite and one or two of the clubs. I went to Opening Day for the Yankees this year, paid a small fortune for Upper Deck seats, and I liked it for the most part but I just didn't get the same feel like the old stadium had.

yeah the tour is only through ticketmaster unless you walk up to the windows at the stadium.

That seems like a short tour! Let me guess, you bought through Ticketmaster? Gotta love those "convenience fees" and "transaction fees"!

It was $20.00 plus a 3 dollar ticket convenience fee and a 2 dollar transaction fee, so it was $25.00....on contrast the tour in Philly at Citizens Bank Park was $12.00 flat

That is too bad about the tour. You would think it would be longer and better than old Yankee stadium. Do you remember how much it costs? That is something I would like to do whenever I get back to new york.
