Why the book ‘F30BG’ was written

I wrote the book The Fastest Thirty Ballgames because I wanted to help the average person aspire to view some of the ballparks with the kind of knowledge I wish I would have known before going to them myself.

Baseball is so unique compared to the other sports for the differences in the home Venue’s. Football, while it has different looking Stadiums-have the same distances of length and width when it comes to the field. Hockey and NBA are always indoors and have the same dimensions to play on. Baseball parks are all different dimensions and each have different things to make their own identity.

I am no expert when it comes to each specific park and that is why I included ballparkchasers.com founder Craig Landgren to help me. Craig developed this website that deals directly as a help guide to each ballpark fan-by sharing information on each of the 30 current parks.

I like to say that it is like having a lifeline in the game of “Who wants to be a millionaire.” The 700+ current members have been to every ballpark-and have shared helpful information onto the others so that they could enhance their own experiences. Each of the 30 Parks have guide’s that have been put together by the collection of the members suggestions-and good diligent research by Craig himself. The many experiences of the members have made the guides really diverse in searching for what one looks for in a ballpark. There is about 25-30% more to the guides then what you see in here. There are added sections in the guide that look at the MLB cities airports, car rentals, park intangibles, extreme chaser budget savings and doubleheader attempts. We also included several featured chasers on this website in Roger Ratzenberger, Meg Minard, 30 ballparks and a baby, Josh Robbins, Bob Devries and Ken Lee.

As for my personal record story, I do physically describe what I saw at each 30 ballparks as I visited them for the first time in my record chases. I also speak about some of the traditions I picked up on. Other than displaying what rank each ballpark came up with in the book, I kept the rankings breakdown for each ballpark out of the book because it would have made the novel too long. That is the reason I started my own website at www.fastestthirtyballgames.com. I polled 10 people who have seen every park to give me their analysis of each baseball park. The results are an aggregate scoring system of different categories that are given a letter grade. Baseball Park Rankings are a subjective thing to each individual but I was happy that the rankings my people came up with are very similar to a report that “Forbes” recently came out with. When you are on each park's reviews please note of the specific categories that some of the parks are listed as number one.

My best knowledge comes in the art of traveling to the parks, and setting forth game plans for money and time to break the world record. I would never call myself the number one consultant of all time when it comes to this subject, but I did study the matter for almost 3 years straight.

I found loopholes in some of the airlines, car rental companies and hotels that I share with you in the book. While I tell you about my entire journey of setting the world record for watching the games at all 30 MLB Parks the fastest-I also share how I have re-arranged my own life to capitalize on travel benefits. There are so many ways you can earn miles, points, money cash backs and rewards from monitoring how you budget your daily life by spending wisely.

Some of the examples I can share right now: I rent cars year round because of deals I can find with unlimited mileage-( I drive 4000 miles a month). I use these cars for my courier job. The freebies in car rentals-and Air Miles I accrue help me travel for next to nothing for a couple of weeks a year.

Craig, Ken Lee and I decided to charge the bare minimum on either the softcover book-or E-Book Format, as we wanted to pass on this information to each ballpark chaser without it costing too much money. The difference between the physical book and E-Book is how you wish to use the information. The cost of the softcover book delivered to your door is $13.31 with about another $2-$3.00 for Shipping and Handling. The E-Books are only $8.95 and are instantly ready for download upon purchase.
