The ballpark chasers weekend is 3 weeks from now, so of course we are making moves to ensure a weekend of fun.
We are looking for an experienced grill person to help us out cook some of the delicious hot dogs and hamburgers we will be doling out. We will kick in a free Manfish brewing T-shirt for your help.

The MLB Schedule Will Be Posted for 2014 around Sept.11/2013/. When it does, we will come out strong with a monthly schedule page for all 6 months next year, a weekly schedule for each week, a master schedule of Doubleheaders (doable as a ball park fan), and also a scheduled home doubleheader master schedule (these often come based on weather cancellations that arise early in the season and then the team puts up 2 games in one day later on.
Each time will also receive a breakdown by… Continue

I recently purchased www.mlbreports.com and am looking for writers for the site. If you love to write about baseball in general and want to join a top-viewed website, give me a buzz. My goal is to have a writer for all 30 MLB teams. Experience in Word Press is an added bonus.

As part of my World Record Pursuit, I am interviewing 30 baseball experts for the 30 MLB parks. Your bio (plus 6 or 8 pictures_ will be prominently displayed on a feature article the same day I will be visiting the park. A lot of it will be about the park and sights of the given. I will be focusing a lot on traditions, the fans, the team itself and their relevance to the city. Nothing big. The first couple of questions will introduce your bio. The whole… Continue

For those that are interested in the 2012 MLB FANCAVE. Would you rather watch every game from the NYC studio they have--or would you rather attend a baseball game in a different city every day for the 180 days baseball is played next year? I know I am still in the process of putting my mega 180 games in 180 days plan together. Major League Baseball has asked me for a trip prospectus which I am currently working on. It would be a proposal of what the trip would entail-and if it is something that… Continue

I am looking for anyone that gets first word on the Sunday night baseball ESPN game for Sept.4th? I am flying to San Francisco on that Sunday morning-for a $105 flight and taking public transport to the game for $2.85. After the game, I have a one-way car rental in town(from National). If they make SF the Sunday night game I can do a Doubleheader with Oakland as the first leg. The travel idea is to drive back to… Continue

Why the book ‘F30BG’ was written
I wrote the book The Fastest Thirty Ballgames
because I wanted to help the average person aspire to view some of the ballparks with the kind of knowledge I wish I would have known before going to them myself.
Baseball is so unique compared to the other… Continue

Okay, we are about 20 games into the ball season and I have a few observations. The number one thing is that it is too early to win a division-but it can also be too late if you get off to a bad start.
The Yankees are looking sharp at 12-6 despite CC only having one win so far, and less then stellar starts by Brett Gardner and Derek Jeter. The teams power is carrying the club right now and it is just a matter of time before they take off. I believer A.J Burnett is going… Continue

I talk about each ballpark as it naturally comes in to the story during the streak chases. The 1st streak atttempt I did in 2008 had so much more drama I am choosing the stories more from that attempt but the record breaking 2009 will still have much weight in the novel. I wanted to discuss the traditions/ballpark experiences around one of them it was just easier to use that attempt. Besides Ken Lee did a great job updating my 2009 record chase and I am going to use his write-ups and add here… Continue

I must admit that there is a a need to really consider asking for a re-do on the ballpark rankings with a more definitive criteria list. Thanks to Gary Herman for asking thought provoking questions that had me brainstorming all day on how to run with this. I think the ballpark chasers did a decent job in their initial rankings (as proof that about 75% of our list of THE rankings were within 5 spots of where the FORBES list was). However, since we have some new chasers added this year--and a new… Continue

BOSTON RED SOX
FENWAY PARK BOSTON MASSACHUSSETS
BALLPARK CHASER RANK-3RD
BOSTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT is a short distance of 6 miles from Fenway Park-but once again you must give yourself plenty of time to make it to the park in gridlock traffic. The car rental facilities are a good shuttle bus distance of a few miles from the airport. The I-90 Highway includes a toll and a tunnel----this is a faster way but you must focus on taking your right exit,… Continue

You have options from several different ways. If you are flying into to ‘BWI’, make sure you give yourself ample time to drive anywhere.
BWI is a strong hub for both SOUTHWEST AIRLINES AND AIRTRAN AIRLINES. The prices are very convenient with both carriers and many early morning non-stop flights are available for under a hundred dollars-particularly anywhere in the EASTERN SEABOARD CITIES or the STATE… Continue
