with that much history and a brand new ballpark, you would think they could have done so much more.

It looks that way from your picture. I like how the old MP used the retired numbers as almost an aisle-entry way, a slow buildup to the grandeur of the actual monuments. Here it looks like the monuments are second fiddle, forgotten under a dark cloud of a steakhouse. Yes I had been to both, to me the new monument park feels out of place, and kinda life an after thought when they designed the place.

Wow, it's crazy how dark the new Monument Park looks. The previous YS monuments were so bright and out in the open. It had a lot more flowers too. It almost looks like an after-thought. Did you feel the same way? Had you been to both?
