I hate the Scrubs - but it's Wrigley hands-down

On a side note I know that fenway and wrigley are all about history but they both should be torn down

I like Ed's list...I forgot to include Kauffman. That is a great ballpark.

How about the follow-up question: what makes a great ballpark in your opinion?

Comment by Ed Kranepool on July 6, 2012 at 8:34am

Been to 39 MLB Parks and 26 of the current parks.  My top 10 and no real order after Fenway as it sits alone at the top and the other 9 are just parks I really enjoyed.

1 - My home town Fenway!

2 - Wrigley (but I wish they would spend $$ to fix it up like the Red So have)

3 - AT & T

4 - Camden

5 - Ballpark at Arlington

6 - Kauffman

7 - Dodger Stadium

8- Safeco

9 - PNC

10 - The Jake (Progressive)

I loved the history of old Tiger Stadium, Tribe's Municipal  and Old Comisky.

The wrecking ball could not find Shea, Asterdome and the Skydome fast enough.  The Brewer's and Rangers old parks were dumps as well, but not as bad the first three which were the worst of all time.

Well off to Fenway tonight to see them beat the hated Yankees....

My list of parks that I have been to (only counting current stadiums, otherwise Yankee Stadium would be #1 on my list):

1. Wrigley

2. AT&T

3. Fenway

4. Petco

5. Safeco

My top 10: Its tough to rank them as the new ones are all so great and fun to go to. But they miss the historical feeling of my top 2. The rankings can be too subjective and biased.

Fenway Park
Wrigley Field
PNC Park
Petco Park
AT&T Park
Camden Yards
Yankee Stadium
Safeco Field
Citi Field
Nationals Park

Seems to be a popular topic. Hopefully one day I can create my own after seeing them all.

My top five:

1) Oriole Park at Camden Yards

2) PNC Park

3) Comerica Park

4) Wrigley Field

5) Fenway Park

Oh what the heck I'll go for ten:

6) Citizens Bank Park

7) Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

8) Busch Stadium

9) Yankee Stadium

10) Nationals Park

Now this list is from someone who has not yet been out to any on the west coast, so I haven't seen Chase, Coors, Safeco, Petco or AT&T. Will probably need to revise this later...
