If you are anything like me and of a certain age, you probably owned or played several of the various handheld electronic baseball games that were sold in the late 1970s and throughout the 1990s. There was always something terribly appealing about holding a ballpark in your hands - imaging…Continue

My summer trip this year took me to the Windy City. Strangely, I was going to see the Cubs only as I found some nice ticket prices on vividseats.com. It wasn't until my family asked "if you're going to see the Cubs, why don't you see the White Sox too?" Well, that made a whole lot of sense! So I realized we were in Chicago as the White Sox were in town and chose to take in a Sunday afternoon game so I was able to mark two ballparks off my list. Of course, I was excited as can be. So…Continue
"The trick against Drysdale is to hit him before he hits you." - Orlando Cepeda
Whatever happened to the brush back pitch? The days of “dusting a player off” are long gone and it makes me mad. Gone are the days of Bob Gibson, Don Drysdale, and Sandy Koufax. Very few pitchers today throw inside. And it’s obvious. It’s a lost art and batters are taking advantage.
The “brush back” is a pitch thrown high and inside, usually a fastball, to force the batter away from the…Continue

I once again am going on a roadtrip, which takes me to San Fran and Oakland. Looking at hotels, they are just ridiculously expensive. What do you guys recommend for a decent hotel preferably 2 star and up in one of these two cities for maybe 120 or less.
"What a cool goal- to see all 30 MLB ballparks"
My journey officially stated in July 2010, but I didn't know it at the time. What started out as a road trip from Milwaukee to Pittsburgh to visit family and squeeze in a Brewers game at PNC quickly turned into a new life goal. Jokingly, my then fiance suggested we attempt to see all 30 ballparks. I eagerly agreed. We are both huge baseball fans and love to travel, so I thought why not?!
My intentions were to see 2 ballparks a…Continue

"I Will Be Attending A MLB Game Live In All 183 Days Of Play In 2015 (30 MLB Parks) http://mlbreports.com/2014/06/02/183in2015/"
Click the highlighted link there to read what the trip will entail. This will be the most decorated trip I have ever been in for sure.
Hope to see and meet some of you there.
With the help of Josh Robbins, I believe that I have narrowed down the best possible attempt at seeing all 30 Ballparks in 25 days by land. This has become an obsession for me over the past 10 years, and every summer I planned it, something happened to derail it. This is more than likely the last possible year I will be able to attempt this feat and this is the reason why.
In 2010 I was diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting Multiple Sclerosis. It really slowed…Continue
