LA to NY by Car

I'm planning a driving road trip from Los Angeles to New York.  Where can I get a schedule of all the games being played in July?  Also, has anyone done this trip?  Any suggestions?

A Ballpark checklist

Does any have an excel sheet or PDF that list the major league ballparks in a checklist format?

Let's enjoy a game TOGETHER!

I'm counting down to my first trip to PNC Park in a few weeks! (Sat June 11th and Sun June 12th)  Looking to meet a few (or many!) other 'Chasers'.  So this blog is just a reminder to check your calendar and see if you can join us for a hopefully sunny day at the ballpark!  I haven't purchased tickets yet and would like to sit together if possible.  If there are still openings, I'd like to tour the park on Saturday morning.  Let me know if you can go by message or go to the "Social" tab and…

An interesting start to the season

I haven't been to an MLB game yet this season. Extremely hard to believe. The weather has something to do with it, as does the sorry state of my New York Mets. I've also kept busy by "coming out of my baseball retirement". I am playing vintage baseball in the Coltsville Vintage Baseball League. We play 1860's rules that include playing bare-handed. Yes, with a hard ball. Check it out at the Friends of Vintage…

Winter Classic Coming To Citizens Bank Park

Well the news is out: the Philadelphia Flyers will probably be playing the New York Rangers in the NHL’s yearly Winter Classic, and the venue will be Philadelphia’s superb Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies.

Not much more you need to know, except that they haven’t established the date yet; the Eagles will be playing the Washington Redskins at Lincoln Financial Field across the street on the traditional New Year’s Day, assuming the football…

Texas

Hit my 30th and 31st parks two weeks ago in Texas.  (Now at 26 of the current 30).  Also drove by the old Astrodome, but couldn't get close enough for detailed pictures.  Immense security around Reliant Park for some reason.

Minute Maid Park

Went to two games at MMP.  Luckily I managed to get one game with the roof open and another with the roof closed.  The difference is night/day.  Basically two different parks.

For my first…

#15 Winston-Salem Dash

My 2011 Minor League Baseball tour kicks off in Single-A fashion with the recently “newly” minted Winston-Salem Dash! This was an excellent afternoon game on a Sunday versus in-state rivals the Kinston Indians. …

The Fenway Faithful

What a better way than to spend Mother's Day than to kick off our All 30 Parks tour at our hometown field, Fenway Park. We visited the fabled Fenway like it was the first time. As I walked down Yawkey Way I looked around… Continue
