Opening Night

Josh arrived in Seattle, WA by plane on Sunday morning. He will not get on another plane until he has seen a game at all 30 ballparks in a record-setting 26 days, starting tonight at Safeco Field. He met Ken, the first of many people who will join him on this quest. They picked up their sweet rental car, a Pontiac Grand Am I believe (sorry guys, but Pontiacs are girls cars, it's a fact), and will be using this rental car to drive to each ballpark.

During my pre-trip interview with… Continue

Chasing History

Since I am new to this site I will provide some background about my ballpark chase.

I have always been a baseball fan, but the idea of seeing all 30 Major League ballparks didnt cross my mind until a road trip to Minneapolis with 3 friends in August of 1995. Hey what a great idea! Its taken many years to do this but I have to arrange trips around work! I also have put together a scrapbook that contains pictures of each park and city, a game ticket, team schedule, and photo of each… Continue

A DAY TO REMEMBER By: Bill Chuck

I returned to the place of my birth yesterday. Not my actual birth, my baseball birth. The place of actual birth was a hospital that doesn’t exist any more across the street from the Madison Square Garden that doesn’t exist any more. Soon, this Yankee Stadium, the home of my baseball birth won’t exist any more either.

I shed no tears. I was there with my wife, the Boston Red Sox fan (we live two miles from Fenway Park), my eldest daughter, who now lives in the City, and my… Continue

Jackie Robinson Day

Tuesday, April 15th, Major League Baseball will recognize the anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball's color barrier. Woody Paige's Idea: Pick a letter: pick an all-star team

This idea comes from sportswriter Woody Paige. Pick a letter of the alphabet, and then pick players whose last names start with that letter, and form your all-star team.

For example: let's use letter M.

Mickey Mantle
Roger Marris
Joe Morgan….

Take it from there!

A six-year-old's Introduction to Baseball

I spent my childhood in two places: up until I was five years old, we lived in Lyons Colorado; then from five years old on up and, I lived in Longmont Colorado. Both sets of grandparents lived in Brush, Colorado when I was a child. Periodically, just like every other family, we would make the pilgrimage 90 miles northeast to Brush to see Grandma and Grandpa. My grandpa Biggin grew up in Cassville, Wisconsin and my grandpa Sears grew up in Springfield, Illinois, so they were both huge Cubs fans,… Continue

How many have you seen?

Wondering what the (14) means after my name? Well, its how many MLB stadiums I have seen. When you are logged in, go to "my page" up top, click on "my settings" on the right side of the page and edit your name so it reads the number of Major League Stadiums you have visited!
