The Final Yankee Stadium Tour

Yankee Stadium held their final tour on Sunday, November 23, 2008. A group of 40 lucky people were the last ever fans to see the insides of Yankee Stadium in tact. Parts of the stadium have already been moved to the new site- including Monument Park. Demolition begins next March just as the new Yankee Stadium opens its… Continue

Sox Break their trend...

After 14 years the Red Sox organization decided not to raise their ticket prices for the 2009 season. Fenway Park seats have been sold out for 469 consecutive games and were the most expensive ticket last season ($48.80 on average). What does this mean? Well, $125 can still buy you a field box ticket. Yippee. What a joke! With this shaky economy that our country is facing and the consistent support from the Red Sox fans, you would think the organization would provide some sort of break. But its… Continue

Larry Lucchino, the President and CEO of the Red Sox, says they could very well be in Fenway for another 40 years! Lets hope he is… Continue

Wasserman has been a vocal supporter of bringing a $1.8 billion “Ballpark Village” that holds 32,000 seats to the Fremont area (about 20 miles south of Oakland Coliseum). Next year they look to move forward with the environmental impact report and hopefully have Cisco Field open for the 2012 season.…

My Trip to Yankee Stadium... From Enemy Lines

As a Mets fan since 1984, the one baseball stadium that I was always apprehensive of going to was the hallowed halls of the "House that Ruth Built". After all, the Yankees last World Series triumph in 2000 came at the expense of my team.

I really had to think about this one, and it came down to this. Even as a Yankee hater, when you look at the tradition and history that this stadium brings, and the fact that its days are now numbered, even I felt compelled to pay a visit to a place… Continue
